TO POTENTIAL PARTICIPANTS OF THE 13TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HISPANIC FIREFIGHTERS:

From September 24-26, 2008, the 13th Annual International Conference of the National Association of Hispanic Firefighters will be held in Phoenix, Arizona. On behalf of public safety officials across our state, I welcome you to the fine city of Phoenix.

First-time visitors to our city will experience a warm and friendly atmosphere that is characteristic of all of Phoenix - a remarkable boast in light of the fact that our population has grown to more than 1.5 million people.

Phoenix is very proud to be hosting this event. This conference provides a forum at which knowledge can be shared, problems can be discussed, and plans can be made for the various emergency situations encountered by first responders.

I hope that you will join your colleagues in September in this endeavor to share public safety information to create safer communities for tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Bob Khan
