A Message from Ed
As one of the Founding Fathers of the National Association Of Hispanic Firefighters since 1995, I have been blessed to serve our organization. We have devoted many years of our time to keep this organization growing to what it is now. I am proud to call myself a member of this outstanding NAHF.
Ed Davis

Ed Davis has been happily married to Norma Davis for 41 years, and they have three children, and six grand children, Oldest grandchild is in second year at UNT in Denton

Ed has been with the Dallas, Texas Fire-Rescue Department for 37 years, he serves his Department as a Fire and Rescue Officer

He received his B.S. from Pan Am University , and latter obtained his Masters in Education from Antioch University

He currently serves as the Executive Treasurer for the National Association Hispanic Firefighters, he is Past President of the National Association Hispanic Firefighters, and Past President of Dallas Hispanic Firefighters

He Is very active as the Vice President of the National Hispanic Coalition, and even though he is a Past Advisory Board Member of the Congressional Fire Service Institute he remains active.

His passion is Education and Children, he works very hard to Funds the Annual Edward Davis DHFA Scholarship given at the DHFA Annual Banquet

As a Past Member of Fire Explorer Advisory Board, he still remains active with the Dallas, Texas Fire Explorer Program

Ed continues his passion for children by being an Executive Board Member of National Abused and Exploited Children.

Ed, keeps a full schedule by being active in the National Advisory Board Member and Honorary Fire Chief of Association Mexicana De Jeffus De Bomberos, National Advisory Board Member of Association De Bomberos Del Estado De Tamaulipas, AC, National Board Member of Federacion De Cuerpos De Bomberos De La Republica Mexicana, AC Past Executive Committee member of IFSTA, and He is the Director of Hispanic Officers at International Association of Fire Chief Conferences, and he remains active Past Executive Board Member of Fire Safety Corp, Committee Member of Texas Fire Museum, Inc., Past President of Fire 20/20

Roles & Responsibilities of our Treasurer

    Reports to the President
    Maintains updated membership list
    Works closely with the President and other staff
    Provides Secretary an up dated email list of all members biannually
    Acts as a member of the Executive Board
    Serves as ex officio of the financial business of the NAHF
    Delegate tasks as needed to financial consultants and/or accountants
    Administrates fiscal matters of the organization
    Provides an annual budget to the board for members' approval
    Ensures development and board review of financial policies and procedures
    Works with the Executive Board in achieving the organization's mission
    Participates in Board actions with respect to organizational priorities and concerns
    Reviews with the Executive Board any issues of concern to the NAHF
    Annually evaluates the performance of the President and the NAHF
    Participates closely with the President to develop and implement officer transition plans
    Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Board
