Sponsoring informational handout booklets has always been a popular form of advertising. These handouts are quite different from those advertisement flyers you get and immediately throw in the trash. Informational booklets actually manage to grip the reader with interesting, readable content, namely, safety tips. Safety tips which may one day save the reader's life. The benefits that go along with advertising in these booklets are too numerous to list here, so if we just restrict the following to the most popular reasons for placing ads in informational handouts...

By "low prices," we mean "prices that are much, much lower than you might expect." These ones include local emergency information such as nearby shelters, emergency phone numbers and so on, so readers will want to keep them around for quick reference rather than having to reach for the phone book in the event of an emergency. For sponsors, this means that readers are willingly keeping your print ads in their home instead of throwing it in the garbage.

It's Not Bad For Your Reputation

A business owner who sponsors safety information booklets can't be all bad, right? Advertising usually carries with it connotations of crass commercialism, but in the context of an informational booklet, you're not just advertising, you're showing your support for a group that promotes safety and helps people to know what to do in an emergency. You Can Check the Booklets Before They Print

All sponsors have the option of reading through the booklets before they ship. Nobody wants their name on a booklet with bad safety information, so you can check the booklets to make sure they're on the up and up if you like, or just to make sure that your ad came out alright.

Basically, unless you're a professional bank robber or something and would prefer that people don't know what to do in an emergency, there's really no downside to sponsoring an informational handout booklet. These booklets are given out to children and senior citizens by trusted authorities like firefighters and police officers, they share useful information and reflect positively on the people placing ads in them. Add to this the fact that sponsorship costs less than you've spent on dinner before and there are a lot of good reasons to sponsor an informational handout.
